News of the death of award-winning documentarian Hella Truls has shocked fans of Norwegian cinema. Her brave and beautiful films had helped shape both politics and art over the last three decades. An unreleased first feature film, TRAPPED IN PURGATORY, is discovered amongst her personal effects.

It tells the story of the making of the classic album by Norway’s black metal pioneers, NOTHING HOLY, a renowned and mysterious band of the early 90’s scene.

After NOTHING HOLY recorded their opus they were never seen or heard from again. Will Hella’s film shed fresh light on this mystery?

ANSGAR – Lead Singer and Guitarist

A poet and leader, but also a man wracked by self-doubt and guilt.

NECROPULSE – Lead Guitarist

a pragmatist and a talented musician. Whereas Ansgar is our poet, Necropulse is our workhorse.

EGIL – Drummer

pretty boy, he is cheeky and sexy, but not frightening. A nice guy.

HELLA – Female Filmmaker.

Hella is the one making the documentary about the band. She is grown up in the USA with Norwegian parents. She is determined, focused, enigmatic.

The Bandmembers are all Norwegian, but speaks English in the «documentary», therefore they should not speak perfect English. Musical experience is beneficial, but not a requirement to apply for these roles. Please mention previous experience, if you have any, in your presentation video when applying. Acting experience is also not a requirement, but a big advantage since the roles require a lot of improvisation.
